Call our helpline if you need any help. Our services are culturally sensitive and caring, and we can help interpret your specific needs.

It is our mission to empower South Asians to become socially and economically self-sufficient.  We can guide and help you navigate community and other resources. Moreover, we will stay by your side in the process.

Organizations supporting Afghan families

Many organizations are helping newly arrived and incoming Afghan refugees, such as:

Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) hotline

U.S. Department of State has established a Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) hotline.You may pass these details to any Afghans who need to contact the U.S. Department of State (DoS) asking about their SIV application and whether or not they should try to get to HKIA- Hamid Karzai Int Airport.

IMPORTANTLY, DoS is sending texts and emails to those SIV applicants who are eligible for evacuation, informing them they should make their way to HKIA, if possible.

Instructions for SIV Hotline

  • WAIT PAST THE FIRST PROMPT—THE FIRST PROMPT IS ONLY FOR US CITIZENS.
  • At the second prompt, it will say “If you’re calling about Visas, press 1” (press 1)
  • Then it will say, “If you are a non-US citizen wanting to speak to a specialist about an immigrant visa, press 1” (press 1)
  • “If you are a non-US citizen wanting to speak to a specialist about a non-immigrant visa, press 2” (press 2)
  • The caller will be connected to the National Visa Center (NVC). Keep trying to get through if busy signal.
